Swiss Beauty turns the wedding dance floor into its proof

Swiss Beauty has shifted the festive beauty conversation from “does this last?” to “go ahead, sweat through the sangeet.” Its new campaign, We Got You, stars Taapsee Pannu dancing without a care to the 1990s track Saat Samundar Paar, turning a wedding dance floor into the brand’s answer to a lab test.

01 · The insight behind the film

The starting point is a familiar festive tension. People want to stay in the moment, but the quiet worry that their makeup may be melting, creasing or fading pulls them out of it. Swiss Beauty’s response is not another wear-time statistic; it is a simple assurance: we have got you.

Taapsee’s unselfconscious performance does the work. The familiar track and high-energy choreography connect product performance to the freedom of enjoying yourself, instead of checking a mirror between songs.

02 · Two promises, one platform

The campaign pairs two brand ideas. “We Got You” speaks to dependable performance, while “Tested by India” reframes product reliability as something proven in the most demanding real-world setting: Indian celebrations.

“If there is one place where India truly lets go, it’s on a wedding dance floor,” said Gresha, creative director at Swiss Beauty. “What better place to test makeup than in the middle of all that energy? That’s where the idea of ‘Tested by India’ came from.”

Gresha adds that the creative challenge was to make product performance the story without making the film feel like a product demonstration. Every beat and expression is designed to carry that spirit, rather than a dry before-and-after.

03 · Why the shift matters for brand leaders

  • It anchors a performance claim in a cultural moment Indian consumers already recognise and trust.
  • It turns a functional attribute into an emotional promise: freedom, not just long wear.
  • The celebrity is cast for energy and relatability, not a scripted endorsement line.

Mohit Goyal, founder of Swiss Beauty, said the brand wants to reinforce a simple promise: “go out, have fun and embrace every moment, while we take care of your makeup needs.” Shalini Kochar, AVP – brand marketing, added that the film captures a simple consumer truth: when you are having the time of your life, makeup is the last thing you want to worry about.

04 · What marketing teams can use

The transferable idea is to prove a product claim inside a moment the audience already lives, not a constructed one. Swiss Beauty did not invent a new situation to demonstrate reliability; it borrowed India’s wedding dance floor and let movement, music and celebration make the argument.
