NEWME’s AI-made debut campaign went from brief to film in 30 days
NEWME's first AI-generated campaign, #NEWMEeveryday, uses an AI-made film and anthem to capture Gen Z style shifts across everyday moments.

NEWME has formally entered the AI-created brand film race. The Gen Z-focused fashion and lifestyle label has launched #NEWMEeveryday, its first AI-generated digital brand campaign, aimed at capturing the many style identities young Indian women move between in a single day.
01 · What launched
At the centre is The Chameleon Effect, an original AI-generated anthem paired with a fast-paced film. The protagonist shifts through college, work, travel, dates and social outings, with clothing and accessories adapting to each new plan. The chameleon works as a metaphor: it changes to suit its environment, but the core identity stays intact.
NEWME’s in-house team built the visuals, characters, environments, transitions and music with AI. The brand says the project moved from concept to final execution in approximately 30 days.
02 · The idea leads, AI follows
The most important line from the brand is about sequencing. Co-founder and CEO Sumit Jasoria said: “We started with the creative idea and then explored how AI could help us push that idea further.” That is a discipline many brand teams skip when a shiny tool enters the room.
He added that Gen Z women don’t dress for one version of themselves, and NEWME wants to remain relevant across everyday moments while staying “trendy and aspirational”. The chameleon has been in the brand’s logo from day one, so the campaign updates an existing asset rather than inventing a disconnected creative territory.
03 · Why it matters for brand leaders
For Indian CMOs, this is a lived example of AI moving from backend support into brand communication. NEWME already uses technology for trend tracking, consumer insights, supply-chain agility and product translation. What’s new is that AI now shapes the narrative consumers see.
The 30-day turnaround is the number to watch. Traditional high-polish brand films can take months across pre-production, shoots and post. AI compresses that timeline, but the real test is whether the result carries emotional weight and not just visual variety. Gen Z consumers increasingly expect variety, speed and self-recognition in fashion marketing, and a campaign built around identity switches matches both the platform language and the category need.
04 · From film to participation
NEWME is not stopping at a one-way video. Under the campaign, consumers are invited to create transition reels using the original track, showing their own versions of college, work, travel, dates, nights out and weekends. One winner will receive ₹50,000 worth of NEWME credits.
That participation layer turns the campaign into a sound-on, remixable asset—particularly relevant for the short-video behaviour of the Gen Z audience it is chasing.
05 · What to borrow tomorrow
- Start with one sharp brand metaphor, then let AI amplify it.
- Use AI to prototype visual worlds, transitions and music before locking a narrative.
- Treat your campaign audio as an open asset and invite consumers to create with it.
- Don’t lead with AI as the story; lead with the customer tension the campaign resolves.
The campaign spans NEWME’s wider portfolio—workwear, athleisure, partywear, loungewear, lingerie, swimwear, perfumes, bags, jewellery and accessories—tying product breadth to everyday occasions in one narrative.
