Lay’s ‘Kholo, Ranbir Se Milo’ Turns a ₹20 Pack Into a Meet-Ranbir Ladder

Mumbai, September 2026: Lay’s has launched ‘Lay’s Kholo, Ranbir Se Milo’, a six-week consumer contest that turns eligible ₹20 packs bought at neighbourhood stores into a stepped reward ladder — topped by a chance to meet brand ambassador Ranbir Kapoor. Total prize value is pegged at ₹2 crore, including the indicative value of the meet-and-greet.

Shoppers pick up an eligible pack from participating kiranas, then scan a campaign QR or digital link into a Lay’s WhatsApp journey to upload and verify packs. The ladder climbs with verified packs: 3 unlock a chance at a gaming console; 5 a premium smartphone; 10 an international holiday; 20 the meet with Kapoor. Retail, digital, creator and social support the run, with neighbourhood stores at the centre.

The push extends the brand’s ‘Lay’s Ke Liye Kuchh Bhi’ line featuring Kapoor — reframing the everyday open-a-pack moment as the start of a fan journey rather than a one-shot celeb cut.

Aastha Bhasin, Marketing Director – Potato Chips Category, PepsiCo India, said: “Lay’s has always been about creating moments of joy, with our consumers at the heart of everything we do. With ‘Lay’s Kholo, Ranbir Se Milo’ Contest, we’re taking that connection a step further – turning the simple act of opening a pack into the start of something truly memorable. From rewarding experiences including the chance to meet the much-loved Ranbir Kapoor, the campaign brings together everything our fans love- great taste, joy and unforgettable moments. It’s our way of celebrating our consumers continued love for Lay’s, while making every pack an opportunity for something special.”

Ranbir Kapoor, Lay’s brand ambassador, said: “Lay’s and I have had a lot of fun together, and what makes this one special is that it is really about the fans. They have always shown me so much love, so the idea that a simple INR 20 pack could bring us face-to-face is quite exciting. And there are some great rewards along the way too! I’m looking forward to meeting the winners and sharing a pack of Lay’s with them.”

Most snack contests bury the celeb meet behind opaque lucky draws. Lay’s is putting a transparent pack-count ladder on WhatsApp and parking it in the kirana — so the brand’s “kuchh bhi” promise becomes a measurable fan climb, not just a film line.
