Oppo’s 200MP Find X10 pitch: moments, not spec sheets
Oppo India's True to the Moment campaign for the Find X10 Series trades spec-heavy messaging for unscripted family moments to sell its 200MP cameras.

Oppo India has launched “True to the Moment”, a brand film that sells the new Find X10 Series by staying with unscripted everyday life rather than leading with hardware. The digital and OTT campaign marks the India debut of the tenth-generation Find X lineup, including the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max.
01 · The shift: from spec sheet to memory
The film is built around spontaneous family interactions and quiet personal reflections. The camera story is still present, but it has been repositioned. Features such as the Hasselblad co-developed camera, triple 200 MP sensors and 4K Cine-Grade HDR video are presented as tools for capturing authentic emotion, rather than as specification badges.
“The memories we hold on to are rarely the ones we planned for. They are the unguarded laughs, the quiet glances and the little things that mean the world to those living them. ‘True to the Moment’ celebrates the simplicity of such instances.”
That framing comes from Dhruv Nigam, head of product marketing at Oppo India. In one line, he describes the campaign’s job: celebrate unplanned moments, then let the product prove it can keep them.
02 · Why this matters for Indian brand leaders
This is a practical example of a benefit ladder in action. The specifications have not disappeared; they have been given an emotional job.
- Feature: Hasselblad co-developed cameras, triple 200 MP sensors and 4K Cine-Grade HDR video.
- Advantage: Professional-quality capture in uncontrolled, everyday conditions.
- Benefit: The unguarded laugh or quiet glance becomes a memory worth keeping.
For Indian CMOs, the reminder is that premium smartphone buyers have heard megapixel and sensor claims for years. Differentiation increasingly comes from showing what the hardware preserves, rather than listing what it contains.
03 · What you can do with this
Audit your next launch film: do the first few seconds invite a feeling or simply state a fact? Try leading with the customer’s moment and letting product details support the story. Oppo keeps technical credibility close—the Hasselblad association and sensor claims are all present—but the narrative carries the emotional weight.
