Chola MS puts festive insurance message on 104 airport screens
Chola MS General Insurance launches a pan-India festive campaign on 104 airport screens and digital platforms, running from Navratri to Pongal.

Festive-season advertising in India is usually built for attention. Chola MS General Insurance is using the season for something harder: making preparedness feel small, simple and close to home.
The insurer, a joint venture between the Murugappa Group and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company of Japan, has launched a pan-India festive campaign that runs from Navratri through Pongal in January 2027. The brand film is anchored on the thought,
Kal unke haathon mein toh hai, par humaare haathon mein hai kal ki taiyaari.
In effect, tomorrow may be in their hands, but preparing for tomorrow is in ours.
Instead of leaning on fear, the campaign uses family, celebration and responsibility. The payoff is the brands proposition that being prepared with Chola MS is now #SimpleHai.
01 · Where the campaign shows up
- Timing: Navratri through Pongal in January 2027.
- Digital: Spotify, Inshorts, Taboola, Google and Meta, with vernacular content.
- Offline: 104 digital screens across six airports, including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai.
The split is deliberate. Digital gives reach and targeting. Airport screens catch consumers during festive travel, when they are between home and family and likely thinking about both.
02 · Why this works for insurance
Insurance advertising in India has often depended on anxiety. This campaign swaps anxiety for agency: the future is uncertain, but preparation is something you can control. That fits a season built on new beginnings, because it does not ask consumers to pause celebration and worry. It asks them to add one small piece of preparation to the things they already do.
There is also a segmentation logic at work. Navratri to Pongal is not one festival but a chain of regional moments. Running a single message across that window, in multiple vernacular languages, lets one national campaign behave like many local ones.
03 · The marketing take
The transferable idea is to find a moment when your category already feels relevant, then design the media and language around it. Chola MS is not asking people to think about insurance in the abstract. It is meeting them at airports, in their feed and in their language while they travel to the people the cover is meant to protect.
Positioning insurance as an act of care, not a contract, gives the brand permission to participate in celebration.
