Axis Bank and Visa make festive wishes 20% bigger

Axis Bank and Visa have launched ‘Dil Se Open Celebrations 2026’, a festive campaign fronted by actor Shahid Kapoor and built on the line “Iss festive season, har khushi ko banao badi.”

Created by Leo India, the film pairs Kapoor with a young girl whose dollhouse makes wishes real: whenever she places an object inside, it appears in the world outside. Kapoor plays the enabler, using an Axis Bank Visa Credit Card to make those transformations happen.

01 · The dollhouse as strategy

The dollhouse is not just a visual device. It connects a simple childlike impulse — “what if this small thing became bigger?” — to Axis Bank’s ‘Dil Se Open’ philosophy. For Indian consumers, the festive season is already the moment when small wishes become larger purchases; the film reframes the card as the tool that makes that leap possible, rather than a payment afterthought.

02 · From story to shelf

The campaign backs the emotional story with transactional heft: more than 100 deals across categories, including electronics, travel, lifestyle and mobiles.

  • Electronics: LG, Samsung, Sony
  • Lifestyle: Burberry, Boss, COACH, Tory Burch
  • Travel: MakeMyTrip, ixigo, Air India
  • Mobiles: vivo, OPPO

Eligible Axis Bank Visa Credit Cardholders can access discounts and EMI benefits, including up to 20% off on purchases and EMIs. Terms and conditions apply.

03 · What brand leaders should notice

Arnika Dixit, group head – cards, payments and wealth management at Axis Bank, puts the strategy simply: “Customers increasingly look for their cards to deliver value that is relevant to how and where they spend.” That is the thread holding the campaign together.

The film’s Amit Trivedi-composed score builds emotional recall, while the 100-plus deals and the 20% benefit give consumers a reason to act now. And the campaign runs across digital, social, outdoor, ATMs, branches and direct-to-customer touchpoints, so one idea travels from awareness to conversion without switching creative.

04 · The marketing take

Festive advertising often splits into two rooms: brand films that warm hearts and offer-led messages that chase transactions. Axis Bank and Visa’s campaign shows they can share one roof. Build a simple metaphor that turns a small wish into a bigger moment, make the product the enabler of that transformation, and attach a hard benefit so the story converts.
