ZOYA’s Her Again puts women in their 40s-50s first
Tata ZOYA and TBWA\Lintas launch Her Again with Anoushka Shankar, celebrating women in their 40s-50s rediscovering themselves.

ZOYA, the luxury jewellery atelier from the Tata Group, has launched “Her Again”, a campaign for its new High Jewellery collection inspired by India’s spices and their place in cultural memory. Created by TBWA\Lintas, part of Omnicom Advertising India, the film stars sitarist and composer Anoushka Shankar.
The campaign will run across digital, print, social media and PR, supported by visual merchandising in ZOYA boutiques and galleries, along with curated in-person events in cities where the brand is present.
01 · The film: memory as a discovery
The narrative begins with Shankar walking through an Indian spice market. When she pauses to inhale a spice, the sensation pulls her into a world of memory, nostalgia and play: a bougainvillea garden where she finds a pair of ZOYA earrings, a hopscotch game that reveals a ring, a bracelet and a carousel ride. Each piece of jewellery arrives as a discovery, representing memories, emotions and different sides of her identity.
The collection itself translates familiar sensory references—turmeric’s golden warmth, the deep red of mace, cardamom green, saffron and rose—into gemstones, unusual stones and intricate craftsmanship.
02 · Why the age brief matters
The most deliberate choice in “Her Again” is not the celebrity or the setting; it is the audience. Vasudha Misra, chief creative experience officer (North) at TBWA\Lintas, said the intent was “to talk to women in their 40s-50s. Not in context of their children and partners, but as people who are at the prime of their lives.” She added that women in this bracket are often underrepresented in advertising, yet are “far more confident and gorgeous than we usually show them to be.”
Confident in their self, unafraid to show their childlike side and reconnecting with who they really are. Hence, our muse, Anoushka Shankar.
Amanpreet Ahluwalia, business head at ZOYA, framed the idea around “the evocative power of spices as keepers of memory”, their colours and familiar associations reconnecting a woman with parts of herself she may have forgotten.
03 · What brand leaders can do with this
For CMOs and marketing teams, the campaign is a reminder that life stage can be sharper than age as a segmentation tool. ZOYA is not merely casting an older woman; it is rewriting the narrative from family roles to self-rediscovery, confidence and play.
- Insight: Women in their 40s and 50s want identity and self-expression, not another family-role story.
- Creative device: Spice-triggered memory turns product discovery into emotional rediscovery.
- Execution: Anoushka Shankar embodies the “woman of a certain vintage” at the top of her game, shot by Bharat Sikka.
- Amplification: Digital, print, social, PR, boutique merchandising and curated events create one consistent luxury experience.
The integrated approach is not incidental. A high-jewellery story built on memory and identity needs physical touchpoints—boutique installations and private events—to make the sensory premise tangible.
