JK Naturals Aura brings 40% eco content to Indian walls

JK Maxx Paints, the paints business backed by JK Cement Limited, has entered India’s sustainable home décor market with a new brand, JK Naturals. The first product under the brand is JK Naturals Aura, a luxury interior emulsion that the company is positioning as India’s First Nature Lovers’ Paint.

01 · What JK Naturals Aura brings

The formulation carries more than 40% eco-friendly content, of which over 10% is bio-based emulsion. It blends recycled and bio-based raw materials with air-purification technology, and the company is promising a rich sheen finish and superior smoothness.

  • More than 40% eco-friendly content, including over 10% bio-based emulsion
  • Recycled polyvinyl butyral (PVB) recovered from end-of-life laminated glass
  • Air-purification technology designed to reduce indoor formaldehyde
  • A shade palette of more than 2,000 colours
  • Recycled packaging, plus a phased rollout beginning in North India

02 · The circularity angle

JK Naturals Aura was developed in collaboration with Danish cleantech firm Shark Solutions. The partnership recovers recycled PVB from laminated glass that has reached the end of its life, turning post-consumer waste into a value-added raw material for paint. Recycled packaging extends that circularity story beyond the can.

03 · From QR pledge to tree planting

The packaging carries a QR code. Consumers can scan it to take a pledge, and JK Maxx Paints will plant a tree for every completed online pledge. The idea is to make individual action part of the product experience.

04 · Why the launch matters

Nitish Chopra, Business Head – White Cement and Paints, said the company is bringing sustainability into the home beautification category. He framed the Shark Solutions collaboration as an effort to balance performance with environmental responsibility.

Amandeep Malhari, Head of Marketing, White Cement and Paints, said a home reflects the choices and values of the people who live in it. The tree-plantation initiative, he said, encourages consumers to join a collective effort toward a greener future.

The launch will be supported by a digital film focused on the JK Naturals philosophy of nature-inspired, sustainable home beautification. The initial rollout starts in North India between late October and mid-November 2026, followed by a planned national launch.

05 · The marketing take

For brand leaders, JK Naturals Aura makes sustainability tangible on three levels: raw material, indoor benefit and consumer action. That is a stronger story than a general green claim because each layer can be inspected and activated. The phased North India launch also gives the company a controlled test market before spending on a national rollout.
