Cheil India names Raghubar Bisht Samsung client lead

Cheil India has named Raghubar Bisht as Client Lead for Samsung, handing him responsibility for business strategy, client partnerships and revenue growth across the brand’s integrated media mandates. Bisht joined Cheil India as General Manager in September 2026; the new title moves him into a single senior relationship on the Samsung account.

The appointment brings a well-travelled agency-side profile into a high-visibility tech mandate. Bisht spent more than four years as Business Director at Lodestar UM, from April 2022 to September 2026, and served as Business Director at PHD from April 2020 to April 2022. Before that, he was Associate Business Director at Wavemaker, where he led business and media strategy for Paytm, and spent over four years at OMD Worldwide working across Bacardi, Dr. Oetker, Home Credit, Snapdeal, Spice Mobile and Parryware.

01 · A moment-led Samsung playbook is already visible

The Cheil India announcement points less to a blank slate than to work already in market. Bisht’s recent Samsung activity includes news integrations that highlighted Galaxy AI capabilities, brand associations with India Cricket, and moment marketing around Republic Day, Independence Day and election counting days. He has also led print innovations for the launches of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S and Z Fold series.

02 · Why brand leaders should watch this structure

For CMOs and marketing teams, the story is not only about one person. It is about how large tech brands are organising media leadership. A dedicated client lead gives Samsung a single point of accountability across news, sponsorship, print and high-attention cultural moments. That structure can shorten decision cycles and keep the brand voice consistent when a product launch, a sports association and a national moment collide.

The appointment also reflects the growing weight of integrated media inside agency-client relationships. Rather than treating news integrations, sponsorships and product launches as separate workstreams, Cheil India is aligning them under one owner who can plan them as a connected system. That is a useful benchmark for marketers reviewing their own account structures.

Marketing take

A dedicated client lead delivers the most value when cultural moments, product launches and brand sponsorships are planned as one integrated calendar, not separate media buys.
