~ Racold’s Pronto Dark 5L pairs Italian-inspired gloss with fast heat — and a digital film that sells the look, not just the litres ~
Pune, September 2026: Racold has launched Pronto Dark 5L, expanding its instant water-heater range with a design-first bet: glossy dark finish, compact form, and fast heating aimed at contemporary bathrooms and kitchens. The brand is pairing the SKU with a new digital video campaign that treats the appliance as a lifestyle object, not only a utility box on the wall.
Positioned for urban homes, Pronto Dark leans on Italian design cues and a space-conscious silhouette. Safety kit includes a shock-proof body, thermostat, thermal cut-out and pressure relief, with a 12-bolt build rated for water pressure up to 6.5 bar — a practical nod to high-rise living where mains pressure runs hard.
Mohit Narula, Managing Director and Country Manager, Ariston Group India, said functionality remains fundamental, but design, aesthetics and how a product fits the home are increasingly shaping purchase decisions — an opening for brands to move past conventional category expectations. With Pronto Dark 5L, he said Racold is combining its Italian design heritage with evolving Indian needs, as part of a broader push to differentiate and strengthen the premium portfolio.
The supporting DVC pushes that same idea: water heating sold through finish and form, not only heat-up time. For a category long framed as pure function, Racold is betting that glossy dark design can earn shelf (and feed) attention the way kitchen appliances already do.
Marketing take: Instant heaters used to compete on litres and safety stickers. Pronto Dark is fighting for the same visual real estate as the rest of the home — if the dark gloss sticks in the scroll, the 5L pitch gets a free second look.
