Mumbai, September 2026: Creator management agency Opraah has launched “OPay: 48 Hour Creator Payments,” committing to pay its exclusive creators within 48 hours of a brand campaign going live, once the campaign is complete and required documentation clears.
The move targets a stubborn industry friction: payout cycles that still stretch across weeks or months even as creators run fuller businesses — teams, editors, managers, and production costs included. Opraah says the creator economy has matured faster than the systems around it.
“The creator economy has evolved, but the systems around creators haven’t evolved at the same pace. Creators today are running real businesses, managing teams and investing significantly into their work. They shouldn’t have to chase money they’ve already earned,” said Pranav Panpalia, Co-Founder, Opraah.
The 48-hour promise currently applies only to Opraah’s exclusive roster. Payments trigger after campaign completion plus internal processing and paperwork — so the clock starts once the work is live and the file is clean, not on verbal approval alone.
“Professional creators deserve professional systems. Our exclusive creators trust us with an important part of their professional journey, and we believe that trust needs to extend beyond campaigns and opportunities to the way we manage their overall experience, hence OPay,” said Mansi Panpalia, Co-Founder, Opraah.
In practice, OPay moves payment risk from the creator to the agency layer: talent no longer waits out brand or agency cycles before seeing fees. That also reframes talent management itself — less only about deals and representation, more about payment infrastructure as a product promise. For brands buying creator inventory, the signal is simple: agencies that can fund speed may win exclusive talent first.
Marketing take: When creator shops compete on roster and reach, a hard 48-hour payout SLA is a rare ownable benefit — it turns ops into brand.
