Netplus signs Ammy Virk and Tania for a three-film family push

Netplus Broadband has put regional trust at the centre of its next consumer push. The internet service provider has appointed actors Ammy Virk and Tania as brand ambassadors, and has launched a three-film campaign built on the theme, “Family ki jo bhi ho demand, Netplus hazir on command.”

The work showcases the brand’s TV, Wi-Fi and OTT offerings, with the films positioning a single broadband connection as the way a household accesses television, internet and streaming content. The campaign is scheduled to roll out over the coming weeks, including a deliberate push around Diwali.

01 · From infrastructure to family promise

The strategic shift is in the language. Netplus is not selling speed tiers or fibre jargon; it is selling availability. The campaign theme turns varied household demands—watching TV, streaming OTT, working from home—into one constant promise: the brand is ready when the family calls.

Arshdeep Singh Mundi, executive director, Jujhar Group, said the association will help the brand reach more families with “a simple promise – Netplus is there when our customers need it.”

Aps Dua, Group CEO, Jujhar Group, added that broadband is now how families “learn, work, earn and entertain together,” and that the campaign speaks to people in their own language and on the screens they already use.

02 · Why the ambassador choice carries weight

Ammy Virk and Tania are both rooted in North India, the same market where Netplus has built its presence. For a regional broadband brand, that familiarity can do more than a national celebrity: it signals belonging and shared identity, which matter when customers choose a service that enters their homes.

In a category where large national players compete on bundling and speed, a regional provider’s strongest differentiator is often proximity. Netplus is turning that into a creative asset by using faces, language and family situations its core audience already recognises.

The Diwali timing is not incidental. It gives the films a built-in audience moment: multiple generations together, deciding what to watch, and one connection expected to handle all of it.

03 · What marketers can take away

This launch is a tight example of aligning product, place and personality. Three moves stand out:

  • Pick ambassadors who match the brand’s real market geography, not just its reach ambitions.
  • Bundle the offer around a household use case—TV, Wi-Fi, OTT—rather than technical specifications.
  • Time the burst to a cultural moment such as Diwali, when family viewing peaks and the message feels most relevant.

The underlying brand promise is simple: whatever the family asks for, Netplus is ready. That simplicity is the strategic work. The celebrities and the films are how it reaches the front door.
