Four hustles, one anthem from NESCAFÉ and Spotify

NESCAFÉ has given Gen Z’s many definitions of hustle a single soundtrack. The brand has launched the NESCAFÉ Hustle Anthem, an upbeat rap track, as part of its Make Your World campaign in collaboration with Spotify. The launch brings together two brands with strong youth reach and places NESCAFÉ inside an everyday Gen Z moment: listening to music while working, studying or chasing a passion.

01 · A launch built on an existing habit

The idea begins with a simple observation. Gen Z rarely hustles in silence: something is usually playing in the background while they work, study, build side projects or chase creative obsessions. Spotify, where much of that listening and music discovery happens, became the natural partner. The anthem was placed into listening and browsing moments on the platform instead of interrupting them.

02 · From one anthem to many hustles

The campaign scales through four anthem-led films, each built around a different passion point: a coder, a drummer, a sneaker artist and a group studying together. Four different hustles, one connecting track. An exclusive Mumbai launch with Spotify brought together more than 50 creators and youth voices, and the conversation extended beyond the venue through creator-led social amplification and wider TV and CTV support.

The four films are not variations of one celebrity spot. A coder’s late-night session, a drummer’s practice, a sneaker artist’s table and a study group share very little visually, but the same track stitches them together. That is how the campaign tries to make hustle a many-sided idea while keeping one consistent brand asset.

The Hustle Anthem sits within NESCAFÉ’s longstanding youth platform, but the ambition is bigger than a campaign song. The brand wants the track to feel like a part of young people’s own work and play, which moves advertising from paid interruption to cultural participation.

03 · Why this matters for brand leaders

NESCAFÉ’s stated ambition is to move from a brand that speaks to youth to one that participates in youth culture. The mechanics matter more than the music.

  • The campaign doesn’t invent a behaviour; it finds one already happening and adds value to it.
  • Spotify is used as a discovery and distribution surface, not just a media buy.
  • Creators carry the idea into their own passion communities instead of a single celebrity selling the brand.

Marketers often ask whether a brand should make music. The better question is whether the brand can make itself useful to an audience that is already listening. Instead of commissioning a jingle and pushing it through a media schedule, the campaign places an original track inside the streaming behaviour young people already have, then lets creators and four distinct passion stories give it different meanings.

04 · The takeaway

Youth marketing works when the brand joins a ritual rather than interrupting it. NESCAFÉ and Spotify’s Hustle Anthem uses music not as a jingle but as an invitation into how Gen Z already lives.
