Just In Time’s festive film makes watch gifting personal
Just In Time's Ayushmann Khurrana campaign reframes festive watch gifting around knowing the recipient, backed by 50+ brands and 10,000+ styles.

Just In Time has launched its festive campaign with brand ambassador Ayushmann Khurrana, and the central idea is less about the watch than the thought behind it.
The film is set during a family gathering and presents gifting as an expression of how well you know the recipient. A watch becomes the example: an everyday object that can carry the memory of the person who gave it long after the festive season ends.
01 · What the campaign does differently
Instead of leading with discounts or catalogue depth, the narrative centres on the thought behind the gift. Khurrana puts it plainly: “I think the most special gifts are the ones that have genuine thought behind them.” Founder and managing director Raju Chheda extends the same idea from the brand’s side: a watch can hold meaning well beyond the moment it is unwrapped.
The product story still runs deep. The campaign draws from Just In Time’s portfolio of more than 50 global brands and over 10,000 styles across luxury and premium segments. That breadth is being carried across the brand’s social channels and retail network, building on its existing ‘Watching Out For You’ platform.
02 · Why it matters for festive retail
The festive season is the peak purchase window for watches in India. Shoppers choose across styles, brands and price points, but choice alone does not differentiate; every multi-brand retailer can show a wide range. Just In Time’s move is to make the range feel personal by anchoring it to one emotional insight: the better you know someone, the more meaningful the gift.
That positioning shifts the decision from “which watch is best” to “which watch fits this person.” The catalogue becomes a tool for self-expression rather than a wall of options.
03 · What marketers can borrow
- Lead with the recipient’s personality, not the product’s specifications.
- Let the brand ambassador articulate the sentiment, not simply appear with the product.
- Anchor a seasonal burst to an existing brand platform so the equity compounds.
The creative risk with emotional festive work is that it can feel generic. Just In Time avoids some of that by tying the emotion to a specific product benefit: a watch is worn daily, so it literally keeps the giver present.
For brand leaders, the film is a reminder that a wide portfolio does not have to mean a fragmented story. A single recipient-first idea can hold 50+ brands and 10,000+ styles together.
