~ On National Engineers’ Day, Hilti India rewinds from finished landmarks to the sketch, the calculation and the challenge — MD Jayant Kumar salutes the minds behind Viksit Bharat infrastructure ~
New Delhi, September 2026: Hilti India has launched REWIND, a National Engineers’ Day brand film that treats every bridge, metro line and skyline as the end of a story that began with an idea. Timed for 15 September — Sir M. Visvesvaraya’s birth anniversary — the film flips the usual infrastructure flex: instead of celebrating concrete and steel first, it walks audiences backwards to the sketch, the calculation and the unsolved challenge.
Built around the line “Everything that exists today, once did not exist,” REWIND asks viewers to look past the finished structure and sit with the engineer’s blank page. Before the skyline, there was a sketch. Before the bridge, there was a calculation. Before the project, there was a problem waiting to be cracked. For a construction-tech brand whose everyday customers are those same engineers, the tribute doubles as category positioning: Hilti stands beside the people who make Viksit Bharat’s highways, metros, airports and industrial corridors possible.
Jayant Kumar, General Manager and Managing Director, Hilti India, framed the film as a salute to that invisible labour: “Every structure begins long before construction starts. It begins with an idea, a challenge to solve, or a possibility that someone chooses to pursue. Through REWIND, we wanted to celebrate the engineers whose vision and expertise turn those possibilities into reality. As India continues its journey towards Viksit Bharat, engineers are playing a critical role in shaping the infrastructure that will define the future. At Hilti, our purpose is Making Construction Better, and we are proud to partner with the people who are building a stronger, more developed India every day.”
The film is live on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, produced in Hindi with English subtitles and rolling out in Marathi, Bengali, Tamil and Malayalam. It closes on “You, Us, and Hilti.” — a partnership line that turns an Engineers’ Day greeting into an ongoing brand promise around productivity, safety and sustainability on site.
Marketing take: On a calendar day crowded with generic “Happy Engineers’ Day” posts, REWIND wins by reversing the hero shot — the landmark is the punchline, the engineer is the plot — and that is exactly the order a tools-and-systems brand wants India to remember.
