~ Hero VIDA locks naming rights on India’s biggest 2026 overseas bilateral — five T20Is, five ODIs, two Tests from 22 October ~
New Delhi, September 2026: Hero VIDA has been named Title Sponsor for India’s upcoming tour of New Zealand, as New Zealand Cricket (NZC) marks 100 years of sporting ties between the two nations. The 12-match bilateral begins 22 October 2026 and sits inside NZC’s ‘100 Years of Unity through Sport’ programme — a year-long nod to links that date to 1926, when an Indian Army hockey team first toured New Zealand.
Team India will face the BLACKCAPS across five T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests, billed as India’s biggest international series of the current calendar year. As Title Sponsor, Hero VIDA holds naming rights across all 12 matches plus a prominent brand presence through the tour. The deal was facilitated by TCM Sports, NZC’s exclusive naming-rights and on-ground partner from 2019 through 2031.
Geoff Allott, CEO, New Zealand Cricket, said: “This is a significant year for sport between India and New Zealand, and we are delighted that this extensive tour will be part of the centenary celebrations. Twelve matches across all three formats underline the scale of the series, and we are pleased to welcome Hero VIDA as Title Sponsor for what promises to be a memorable home summer.”
Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President – Global Business, Global Product Planning and Global Market Insights, Hero MotoCorp, framed the play as brand + soft power: “Cricket has a remarkable ability to bring people together, transcending borders and creating moments that millions can celebrate together. For HERO VIDA, this partnership is an opportunity to associate with a highly anticipated international tournament while celebrating the spirit of movement, ambition and progress—principles deeply rooted in our brand.” Lokesh Sharma, Managing Director, TCM Sports, called the tour especially significant for both scale and the centenary year.
Marketing take: EV scooter brands usually buy metro OOH and Kapoor family films. Hero VIDA is buying a full three-format India tour in NZ’s centenary summer — category credibility at cricket scale, not another scooter spot.
