Haldiram’s reframes gifting in three 25-second reels
Haldiram's Diwali campaign leads with feeling, not the gift: three sub-25-second reels with Crownex, backed by a wide festive gifting range.

Haldiram’s is walking into Diwali 2026 with a different kind of festive pitch. Instead of leading with the hamper, its new campaign, “Khushiyan Baatne Se Khushiyan Milti Hain” — happiness comes from sharing happiness — leads with a feeling. Created and executed with its creative partner Crownex, the campaign runs as three reels, each under 25 seconds, that linger on the emotion behind a gift rather than the gift itself. The films look beyond the exchange of presents to the small, everyday moments that make gifting meaningful: a gesture of gratitude, recognition of someone’s contribution, or simple affection.
The campaign’s core belief is that a gift is more than what it contains. Its real value lies in the sentiment behind it. By centring those human connections, Haldiram’s positions festive gifting as a relationship act rather than a transaction.
01 · The thinking behind the films
Tushar Mehta, VP, Growth & Marketing at Haldiram’s, frames the insight as a question of language: Diwali is when people “express what words sometimes cannot.” That is the gap the campaign fills. The films hope to remind people that the joy of giving lies in “the happiness it brings to someone else,” as Mehta puts it.
The execution stays deliberately concise. There are no grand set pieces. Each reel carries one message: meaningful connections do not always require grand gestures, and a simple act of kindness can be enough to create a lasting moment.
02 · Why the format matters
For brand leaders, the format decision is as interesting as the creative. Rather than one long festive film, Haldiram’s has split a single thought across three platform-native reels. That is built for feeds where attention is measured in seconds and for audiences that scroll. It also mirrors the idea itself — small, repeatable gestures are enough. The strategy and the medium say the same thing.
There is also competitive logic at play. Festive advertising in India is crowded with celebrity cameos and louder claims. Choosing restraint is a positioning move: it lets Haldiram’s stand for emotional meaning in a category that can quickly turn into a price-and-SKU fight.
03 · From feeling to shelf
The films are backed by a wide festive gifting collection, so the emotion has somewhere to land. The range covers:
- Traditional Indian sweets
- Savoury favourites
- Premium dry fruits
- Chocolates and baklava
- Curated hampers for different relationships and occasions
The structure is clean. The creative opens the conversation with feeling; the collection closes it with options. Notably, the reels do not push a specific hamper. They sell the impulse to give, and the shelf is there to receive it. That sequencing keeps the brand at the level of meaning rather than commodity.
04 · The one-line take
Sell the feeling before the SKU: in a noisy category, the emotion behind giving is a stronger differentiator than another hamper on the shelf.
