~ Bengaluru grocery app walks into the house with quality checks cast as a trial by fire — and a dedicated in-show task ~
Bengaluru, September 2026: Quality-first grocery app FirstClub has signed on as Official Grocery Partner for Bigg Boss Kannada Season 13, now live on Colors Kannada and JioHotstar. Actor Rukmini Vasanth is the brand ambassador, fronting a season-long campaign built around the territory ‘The Real Boss of Quality, FirstClub’.
The play goes deeper than logo slap. Housemates get FirstClub fruits, vegetables and staples sorted and bruise-checked in Bengaluru; branding sits on the fridge, kitchen, grocery boxes, bags and aprons. A dedicated FirstClub-led task is also planned inside the show format. The film opens with a Bigg Boss-style announcement, then flips to the brand’s own trial by fire: produce screened for sweetness, bruises and size; dal and atta called out as unpolished, stone-ground and residue-conscious; dairy clearing lab purity tests — all before anything reaches the house or a customer kitchen. Amplification runs on Colors Kannada, JioHotstar and FirstClub’s own digital and social.
Ayyappan R, Founder & CEO, said FirstClub was “born in Bengaluru with a simple belief that people deserve better quality in the food they bring home,” and the show puts that belief inside the house while the brand chases the same bar across Bengaluru homes. Rukmini Vasanth called it a natural fit: she’s already a FirstClub customer and wanted that personal connect in the Bigg Boss world. Deepan Ramachandran, Founder, Mind Your Language!, said the creative hinge was “finding the Bigg Boss-ism that could genuinely belong to FirstClub” — scrutiny, challenges, earning your place — mirrored in every product clearing a quality check. The brand also leans on 200+ banned ingredients and multi-stage checks across categories.
Marketing take: Reality TV sponsorships usually buy fridge real estate. FirstClub bought a metaphor — quality as audition — and put a Kannada star who already shops the app in charge of selling it.
