Delhi, September 2026: Coca-Cola India is converting a defining FIFA World Cup moment into a keepsake, rolling out limited-edition golden cans across Delhi/NCR under the ‘Own a Piece of History’ campaign. The collectibles are being pushed through Coca-Cola’s partnership with quick-commerce platform Zepto, where pre-orders have poured in since launch week — with the same cans also live for purchase on Blinkit.

Each golden can carries the date of Spain’s FIFA World Cup victory alongside the iconic FIFA World Cup Trophy, turning a celebratory sporting beat into something fans can hold. Pre-booking sat exclusively on Zepto; Blinkit extends open purchase across the NCR catchments that matter for football-mad households.

Coca-Cola’s FIFA partnership dates to 1978. In India, that equity showed up recently via the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour, which brought the original Trophy to Delhi and Guwahati after nearly 12 years. The limited-edition cans extend that proximity play — from seeing the Trophy up close to owning a commemorative piece of the final’s afterglow. Earlier in the tournament, Coca-Cola also ran ‘Matchday Hangout’ watchalongs with enthusiasts and influencers.

Abhishek Gupta, VP, Customer Development, Coca-Cola INSWA, said: “Coca-Cola’s longstanding association with FIFA has been rooted in bringing fans closer to the moments and emotions that make football so special. With ‘Own a Piece of History’, we wanted to turn an unforgettable FIFA World Cup celebration into something fans could own. Our collaboration with Zepto allows us to respond to consumer excitement in real time, bringing together culture, fandom and immediacy to create an experience that goes beyond the product and gives fans something that feels both personal and memorable.”

Marketing take: Coca-Cola isn’t just pouring a World Cup halo — it’s productising the final as a limited SKU on 10-minute rails. Zepto exclusivity for pre-book plus Blinkit breadth turns fandom into a quick-commerce FOMO loop, while Trophy Tour equity makes the golden can feel like a sequel, not a one-off gimmick.
