ChallanPay Puts Pratik Gandhi in “Aaram Se” Cop Chase Against Tip-Toe Traffic Fines

Mumbai, September 2026: Getting stopped for a traffic challan in India often comes with a script: negotiate, invoke a connection, or try the classic “Jaante nahin mera baap kaun hai?” Lawyered’s ChallanPay has flipped that Indianism into its first brand film, “ChallanPay – Aaram Se,” starring Pratik Gandhi as the law that literally wont let go.

Created by independent agency Thinkstr and launched at Ideabaaz Startup Fest 2026, the film opens with a motorist jumping a signal and reaching for the familiar threat. Gandhi’s persistent, deadpan cop answers with another cultural line “kanoon ke haath lambe hote hain — turning the chase into a comic reminder that ignored challans don’t disappear. The exit ramp is simpler: check, pay and resolve on ChallanPay, aaram se.

From low-trust legal to 50 lakh vehicles

Gandhi’s association with Lawyered began in August 2025, built for a category that still feels intimidating to most consumers. Since then, ChallanPay says coverage has grown from 6 lakh to more than 50 lakh vehicles, challan discovery from ₹4 crore to over ₹2,000 crore, and challans/incidents processed from 30,000 to 3.35 lakh. The platform now works with over 80,000 lawyers across 18,000 courts and 700+ RTOs.

Pratik Gandhi said: “Road safety and responsible driving are things that affect all of us in our everyday lives. What I appreciated about the idea is that it encourages people to slow down, follow traffic rules, and be more aware and responsible citizens on the road. And in case a challan does happen, it’s equally important for people to take the responsibility to resolve it properly.”

Himanshu Gupta, Founder & CEO, Lawyered, said: “With ‘ChallanPay – Aaram Se’, we wanted to create a campaign that goes beyond awareness and genuinely resonates with people’s everyday experiences on Indian roads. Through humour and relatable storytelling, the campaign highlights how ChallanPay simplifies challan discovery, payment, and resolution, including complex court challans, while also encouraging more responsible road behaviour.”

Satbir Singh, Founder and CCO, Thinkstr, added: “We like looking for Indianisms — everyday behaviours, expressions and cultural truths that instantly belong to us… At its heart, the idea is very simple. You can argue with the cop, try to pull strings or even run from him, but you can’t really run away from a challan. ChallanPay offers the easier option: deal with it aaram se.”

The film also leans on a background score rapped by Gandhi himself, wrapping the “Be Road Smart” push in humour so the product pitch — discovery, payment and court-challan resolution without the portal maze — lands as relief, not a lecture.
