~ Bacardi expands India’s RTD leader with an 8% ABV line — Guava Chilli, Lime & Lager, Grapefruit Yuzu — landing in select cities from 14 September ~
Mumbai, September 2026: Bacardi has launched BREEZER Bold in India, stretching the BREEZER portfolio into a higher-strength ready-to-drink (RTD) range at 8% ABV, with retail availability starting 14 September in select outlets across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Daman.
The debut trio leans into adventurous pairings rather than safe fruit extensions: Guava Chilli (sweet-meets-spice), Lime & Lager (citrus and hops), and Grapefruit Yuzu. The play is clear — keep BREEZER’s category leadership while giving drinkers who want more intensity and flavour exploration a reason to stay inside the franchise instead of trading up to spirits or craft cans.
Goodies Narayanan, Marketing Director, India, Bacardi, said: “Understanding how consumer preferences are evolving is at the heart of how we build our brands at Bacardi. India is one of the world’s most dynamic consumer markets, with consumers increasingly seeking new and adventurous taste experiences. BREEZER Bold reflects those evolving preferences through combinations inspired by local tastes while bringing something new to the category. As the leader in RTDs, we’re excited to expand the BREEZER portfolio with a range that offers consumers more choice and new ways to explore flavor.”
The launch sits in a familiar Indian alcohol-marketing pattern: localise the flavour story (guava, chilli, yuzu-adjacent citrus) while using ABV and “Bold” naming to signal a step-up SKU for occasions that want more kick than classic BREEZER. Distribution starts narrow — six named markets — with wider rollout planned in the coming months, so early shelf presence and on-trade sampling will do as much work as the PR splash.
Marketing take: RTD brands usually stretch sideways with more flavours. Bacardi is stretching upward — same franchise, higher ABV, bolder taste codes — so BREEZER keeps the adventurous drinker before they graduate to something else.
