Westlife digital sales cross 75% as Q2 revenue hits ₹747 crore
Westlife Foodworld's Q2 FY27 revenue rose 16% to ₹747 crore as digital sales crossed 75% and same-store sales grew 10.1%.

Westlife Foodworld, which runs McDonald’s restaurants across West and South India, has put digital ordering firmly at the centre of its growth story. For the September 2026 quarter, revenue rose 16% year on year to ₹747 crore, while digital channels contributed more than 75% of sales.
Same-store sales growth came in at 10.1%, backed by double-digit growth in guest counts. Digital contribution improved by around 60 basis points year on year. That is not a delivery-only bounce: the company’s digital mix spans McDelivery, the McDonald’s app and self-ordering kiosks.
01 · Digital share jumps without abandoning dine-in
On-premise sales accounted for 59% of system sales in the quarter. In other words, digital ordering and physical dining are working side by side rather than replacing each other. The McDonald’s app has crossed 58 million cumulative downloads, with about 4.2 million monthly active users.
For brand leaders, that is the more interesting number than the top line. An owned app converts a transaction into a measurable relationship. It tells the brand what guests actually order, how often they return and which offers change behaviour—insight that a third-party marketplace does not always share.
02 · Value is the guest-count engine
Westlife said everyday value meals remained the primary driver of guest-count growth. Limited-period offers such as Fam Fries and the Spider-Man Meal also gained traction during the quarter. The lesson is familiar but easy to forget in a category full of premium launches: in India’s QSR market, a visible value tier protects frequency.
- Revenue: ₹747 crore, up 16% year on year
- Digital sales: over 75% of total sales, up about 60 bps
- Same-store sales: 10.1%, led by guest counts
- Network: 492 outlets across 80 cities after 11 additions
03 · Profitability improves as the network expands
Operating EBITDA rose 29% year on year to ₹98.1 crore, with a margin of 13.1%. Cash profit after tax stood at ₹52.6 crore, a 7% margin. Westlife plans to open more than 60 new restaurants in FY27 and is approaching the 500-outlet milestone.
Amit Jatia, chairperson of Westlife Foodworld, said the results reflect “the strength of our strategy, the discipline of our execution and the enduring relevance of the McDonald’s brand.” He added that strong guest growth, improving profitability and continued market expansion position the company to strengthen its leadership.
04 · What marketers can do next
Keep an everyday value tier visible and treat owned digital as a data layer, not a separate channel. Use limited-period offers to create trial spikes without discounting the core menu. And track guest counts alongside revenue; Westlife’s 10.1% same-store sales number is stronger because it is traffic-led, not price-led.
