Axis Bank and Visa launch 100+ festive offers with Shahid Kapoor

Axis Bank and Visa have kicked off the festive calendar with a new film under ‘Dil Se Open Celebrations 2026’. The campaign carries the line ‘Iss festive season, har khushi ko banao badi’—this season, make every happiness bigger—and stars Shahid Kapoor. Created by Leo India, it is built to run as a digital-first campaign across paid and owned digital, social, outdoor, direct-to-customer touchpoints, ATMs and Axis Bank branches.

01 · The idea: a dollhouse that makes wishes material

At the centre of the story is a little girl whose toy dollhouse has one surprising rule: whatever she puts inside appears in the real world. Kapoor steps in as the enabler, using his Axis Bank Visa Credit Card to complete each transformation. It is a deliberately simple metaphor for how small festive wishes can be scaled up when the right financial product sits behind them.

02 · What cardholders actually get

The emotional idea is backed by a concrete festive offer stack:

  • 100+ offers across electronics, mobiles, travel, lifestyle and other categories.
  • Electronics: LG, Samsung and Sony; lifestyle and shopping: Burberry, Boss, COACH and Tory Burch.
  • Travel: MakeMyTrip, ixigo and Air India; mobiles: vivo and OPPO.
  • Up to 20% off on credit card purchases and EMIs for eligible Axis Bank Credit Cardholders on the Visa network.

03 · Why this matters for brand leaders

Festive credit card campaigns often split into two disconnected jobs: a celebrity-led brand film on one side and a discount list on the other. Axis Bank and Visa are attempting to fuse the two. The campaign stretches the bank’s existing ‘Dil Se Open’ philosophy into the shopping season, so the story and the savings share the same frame.

Arnika Dixit, Group Head – Cards, Payments and Wealth Management at Axis Bank, framed the intent: “Relevance, choice and flexibility become even more important” during festive spending. Axis Bank CMO Anoop Manohar added that the bank wants customers to “make those moments even more special” with relevant value and rewarding experiences.

04 · What a marketer can borrow

The campaign’s structure is a useful template: pick one visual metaphor that expresses the product benefit, attach a clearly quantified offer stack to it, and give it a distinct audio identity—here an original festive score by Amit Trivedi that runs through the film to lift recall. Then push that same device across digital, social, outdoor, ATMs and branches so the idea, not just the celebrity, travels.

The marketing take: a festive campaign earns attention with a story and gets transactions with the offer; the winning move is making them feel like one idea.
