Nippo Launches Silent Warriors Brand Platform
Indo National's Nippo frames the battery as an unsung enabler, doubles down on digital and prepares for growth beyond dry cells.

Indo National Limited, the company behind Nippo, has launched a new brand platform and campaign film called Silent Warriors. The work celebrates people whose everyday contributions keep India moving without applause—and connects that idea to a battery, which does its job unseen until it stops.
Unveiled with CMO Arun Sriram, the platform positions Nippo as one of those quiet contributors. The brand has powered Indian homes for more than five decades without asking for the spotlight.
01 · The product truth behind the platform
For a category that rarely gets emotional, the framing is unusually precise. “A battery is almost the perfect example of a silent warrior,” Sriram told MediaNews4U. “It works in the background, powers what you need and rarely gets noticed until it stops working.”
That line does more than anchor a film. It turns a functional truth—reliability—into brand meaning for an audience that values quiet competence.
02 · Relevant, not young
Sriram is careful to separate youth from relevance. Nippo is not chasing a younger audience for its own sake; it is speaking to something cultural—people who simply do the work without seeking credit. Its research found that Nippo is a brand India trusts without thinking about it, and the platform is built to amplify that trust.
The media plan follows the consumer. Nippo has roughly doubled marketing investment compared with two years ago, with a digital-first mix of OTT, CTV, influencer work and content at the point of sale on ecommerce and quick-commerce platforms.
- Digital, OTT and CTV lead the mix.
- Influencers and brand content support reach.
- Product pages act as the new shelf on quick commerce.
03 · Festive is won at the shelf
Sriram says the festive season does not require creating demand for batteries. Gifting, lighting, toys, torches and travel create the need. The risk is availability: if someone reaches for a pack and the brand is not on the shelf or the app, that sale is gone in seconds. So the core battery push is channel-specific—stock kirana and general trade early for visibility.
The communication angle is reserved for AirVue, Nippo’s move into indoor air intelligence. The pitch is to give clean air to parents or a home with a young child, rather than waiting to buy a purifier for yourself.
04 · Beyond a single category
The conversation also signals a business beyond batteries. Nippo is building opportunities in air care, electricals and home and consumer technology, while evaluating acquisitions and strategic partnerships. The aim is to create multiple growth engines on top of the trust built over five decades.
Not every category has worked. The company pulled back from personal grooming after its razor entry failed to dent the market—a lesson, Sriram says, in knowing which categories Nippo has the right to win.
For marketers, the Silent Warriors launch is a useful reminder that even a functional category can claim a human story when the product truth is strong. The takeaway: be present where the hand reaches, not just where the attention is.
