Orient Electric’s The Right Light pushes 3-in-1 lighting
Orient Electric's 'The Right Light' campaign spotlights 3-in-1 fittings that switch between Warm White, Natural White and Cool White.

Orient Electric has launched ‘The Right Light’, an integrated campaign that positions lighting as a flexible layer of home design rather than a fixed utility. The push puts the brand’s 3-in-1 lighting solutions at the centre, letting a single fitting switch between Warm White, Natural White and Cool White.
01 · What is new
The campaign asks consumers to move beyond basic illumination and choose lighting by the moment: a warm tone for a bedroom, a natural tone for everyday tasks, a cool tone for focused work. For a category that usually sells on wattage, finish and price, that turns one SKU into three possible rooms and removes much of the fear of picking the wrong light at the store.
“Lighting is a strategic growth pillar for Orient Electric, and we are focused on strengthening our position through product innovation and a portfolio that responds to evolving consumer needs.”
Ravindra Singh Negi, MD & CEO, Orient Electric
02 · The plan behind the launch
Anika Agarwal, EVP & Strategic Business Unit Head – Lighting, describes 3CCT as three colour options in a single light. Her stated ambition is to build Orient into a leading lighting brand by combining consumer understanding with technology-led product development.
The rollout is integrated rather than a one-platform experiment:
- Digital and social media push
- Outdoor advertising across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Chandigarh Tricity and Ludhiana
- Airport activations across 11 airports, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata
03 · Why this matters for brand leaders
The sharper idea here is not the technology; it is the reframe. Orient Electric is competing on context — what a room needs at a particular moment — rather than on the fixture itself. That is a jobs-to-be-done lesson for any commoditised category: the same product can widen its relevance when marketing names the different jobs it is hired to do.
Airport media is also a telling choice. High dwell time and a travelling, urban audience give a home category a long attention window before the actual purchase decision. It signals that this is being treated as category education, not just a short retail burst.
04 · The category context
Lighting has mostly been an afterthought in home fit-outs, chosen late and often by budget. Orient Electric is trying to move that decision earlier, with a product story that lets one fitting adapt to the room and the hour. If the category education works, it may raise the importance of lighting in renovation discussions and expand the consideration set beyond familiar incumbents.
For marketing teams, the borrowing point is simple. Before launching a product feature, ask what everyday job it does in the customer’s home — then make that the headline, and let the specification explain itself.
Marketing take
Sell the use case your product unlocks, not just the feature it carries.
