Monks expands Nirvik Singh’s remit to APAC; Ash Smith joins
Monks expands Nirvik Singh's remit to EMEA and APAC, names Ash Smith APAC EVP and Fay Denis du Peage AUNZ MD to scale AI-led marketing.

01 · The leadership shift
Monks, the digital operating brand of S4Capital, has redrawn its Asia-Pacific leadership to push its integrated, AI-enabled offering deeper into the region. Nirvik Singh, who joined as CEO of Marketing Services for EMEA, now adds Asia-Pacific to his remit and reports to Bruno Lambertini. He recently stepped down from the S4 Capital board to take the Monks role.
Ash Smith joins as Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific, effective 13 November 2026, and Fay Denis du Peage becomes Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand with immediate effect.
The moves cluster around one idea: bringing Intelligence, Creation and Orchestration together through the Monks.Flow platform, so clients get a single operating model rather than separate agency silos.
- Nirvik Singh: expanded to CEO of Marketing Services, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.
- Ash Smith: joins as EVP, Asia-Pacific, from Tag, a Dentsu company, effective 13 November 2026.
- Fay Denis du Peage: appointed Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand, reporting to Ash Smith.
02 · The platform behind the reshuffle
Monks is positioning Monks.Flow as an AI ecosystem that links insights, creativity and execution. In practice, a brand’s media intelligence can inform creative production, and the resulting performance data loops back into the next campaign without hand-offs between agencies. The leadership changes are designed to make that model easier to buy and govern across EMEA and APAC.
03 · Why this matters for brand leaders
For CMOs and marketing teams in India, the reshuffle signals where large agency networks are placing their bets: on one connected workflow that links media, creative, production, data and technology. Singh brings more than 35 years in the business, most recently as global chief operating officer and president international at Grey Group, where he worked with marketers such as Procter & Gamble, The Coca-Cola Company, Volvo and Haleon. Smith, with more than 18 years across Australia, Europe, China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, previously led product and solutions for JAPAC at Tag, a Dentsu company.
The rationale is commercial. Brands ask for speed, real-time relevance and measurable media performance, and Monks believes a unified leadership structure can deliver that at scale. Fay Denis du Peage’s appointment is also a signal that Australia and New Zealand, Monks’ largest APAC market according to Lambertini, is being treated as a growth engine rather than a branch office.
“The best agencies don’t just make work, they solve problems,” said Ash Smith, incoming EVP, Monks Asia Pacific.
04 · What to do with this
When an agency restructures around a platform like Monks.Flow, the right client question is not “what capabilities do you have?” but “show me where they are actually connected.” Ask for a live example of creative, media and data working together through AI to produce a measurable business outcome. If the answer is only a deck, the integration is still an ambition.
Marketing take
The agency of record is becoming the operating system—brand leaders should evaluate partners on connected workflows, not just craft.
