Peps Industries Launches Humorous Campaign Urging Timely Mattress Upgrades

Peps

Peps Industries, India’s most trusted spring mattress brand, has rolled out its newest campaign titled “Some Breakups Are Necessary”. This witty and emotionally relatable series encourages consumers to upgrade their mattresses before they compromise their sleep and well-being. With storytelling that blends humor, honesty, and science, Peps reminds Indian sleepers that sticking with an old, unsupportive mattress might just be the most toxic relationship of all.

Breaking Up with Old Mattresses—For Good Reason

The campaign features a series of three clever ad films that revolve around breakup-style scenarios. In the first video, a woman appears to be confronting her romantic partner. The tension builds, only to reveal the unexpected twist—she’s actually talking to her old mattress. This dramatic breakup uncovers the truth about false comfort claims in the mattress market, emphasizing that real support doesn’t come from old, worn-out beds.

The second film continues this breakup theme with another humorous confrontation. The third installment, titled “Sorry, But Not Sorry”, is set to release next week, promising even more laughs and relatable moments.

Each storyline cleverly mirrors modern relationship frustrations. Characters hilariously express how they’ve outgrown their mattress’s comfort or found “better sleep elsewhere.” Peps uses these tropes to make one strong point: If your mattress doesn’t support you, it’s time to move on.

The Science Behind the Story

The campaign isn’t just comedic—it’s educational. Peps Spring Mattresses come designed to support spinal health, adapt to body curves, and minimize partner disturbance. These features directly address the biggest concerns sleepers face today: sagging, back pain, and restless nights.

G. Shankar Ramm, managing director and co-founder of Peps Industries, emphasized the importance of mattress quality:
“At Peps, we’ve always believed that sleep is personal and non-negotiable. Too many people ignore how deeply a bad mattress affects their physical and mental well-being. Our campaign delivers that truth in a light-hearted yet powerful way.”

A Pan-India, Multilingual Rollout

This campaign, conceptualized by Brand Consultant Renuka Jaypal and executed by filmmaker duo Athreya Arabbhi & Avinash Hariharan, captures the Indian audience with its cultural nuances and emotional depth. The ad films are available in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, making the messaging accessible to a diverse audience across India.

Speaking about the concept, Renuka Jaypal shared:
“We wanted to dramatize a universal truth—being stuck in comfort zones that no longer serve us. That’s what inspired our storytelling approach.”

Where to Watch

The “Some Breakups Are Necessary” campaign is now live on Peps Industries’ official YouTube and Instagram channels. With sharp writing, cultural resonance, and a mission to make sleep healthier, Peps Industries urges every Indian to re-evaluate their relationship with their mattress—because in sleep, as in life, support matters most.
